Activity Checks
Conducted by an investigator in the field, never by telephone. An activity check is used to confirm residency, daily activities and habits, as well as marital status, employment and physical limitations.
For the most part, an activity check is completed within four hours. It takes longer when a full courthouse search is conducted to determine property owner, liens, judgements, civil or criminal records or marital status.
Information is gathered from neighbors as well as postal employees, law enforcement and other sources in the community. Information gathered is often used to determine if surveillance is warranted.
Widow Checks/Wellness Checks
Many businesses are required to make contact with individuals who have been receiving worker's compensation benefits for an extended period of time in order to make inquiries with regards to their current health and medical status. Our investigators have experience in making contact with these individuals and obtaining the required information.
We have also been requested to conduct investigation into determining whether the spouse of an individual who died while on the job has remarried. After making contact with the widow to make inquiries with regards to that individual's marriage status, we also conduct courthouse searches and neighborhood inquiries in order to confirm the information provided by the widow.
Statements
During the course of many investigations, obtaining a detailed eyewitness account becomes necessary. We have the capability to obtain both written and recorded statements from witnesses, insured, claimants or government officials.

Becker & Company coordinates with insurance companies and physicians to provide transportation to individuals to and from medical appointments.
DMV Information
Becker & Company conducts searches for drivers license, motor vehicle and other records recorded by state Department of Motor Vehicles departments in our service territory.
